Interviews Archives

Brian Kilmeade

I had the honor (once again!) to interview Brian Kilmeade, of Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends”. He has another book out with a deep-dive into an historical event called, “Sam Houston and the Alamo Avengers: The Texas Victory That Changed American History”.

While the story of the Alamo is familiar to most, few remember how Sam Houston led Texians after a crushing loss to a shocking victory that secured their freedom and paved the way for America’s growth.

You can buy his book at his own website or on Amazon.

Episode 236: Interview with Brian Kilmeade

Brian Kilmeade

I had the honor to interview Brian Kilmeade, of Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends”. He has a book out called, “Andrew Jackson and the Miracle of New Orleans: The Battle That Shaped America’s Destiny”.

It revolves around the last battle of the War of 1812, how Jackson won that battle, some miraculous aspects of it, and some of Jackson’s background, including how he came from very humble roots to become an American congressman and President, as well as a war hero.

I also asked Brian some questions about current events.

You can buy his book at his own website or on Amazon.

It’s episode 200!

It’s here; episode 200! And what an extravaganza it is.

I have an interview with D. J. McGuire. He’s a co-host of The More Perfect Union podcast, one of my favorites. I wanted to speak with D. J. because he has moved from being a conservative Republican to a conservative Democrat. Contradiction in terms, you say? It didn’t used to be. When I moved to Georgia, Sam Nunn was one such animal. In today’s political climate, however, it’s certainly an endangered specie. I talked with him about his conservative bona fides, why he switched, whether his views have changed, and what would cause him to switch back. It’s a fascinating discussion.

And I have feedback from 5 listeners, including a voice mail. (See, it really does work!) I’ll be answering their questions as part of this episode.

So thanks for joining me for the longest episode ever (over 56 minutes!) of one of the shortest political podcasts out there. I hope it gets you to consider this.

This is an interview with John Hawkins about his first book, “101 Things All Young Adults Should Know”. It’s packed with a lot of good advice distilled down so that it’s easy to pick up, read a bit, get something out of it, and come back to it later. With chapters titles like Friendship, Love, Health, Career, Living Life to the Fullest, Adulting, and even a chapter called “No Regrets”, this covers a wide range of topics in a very practical manner.

John Hawkins has run his own successful business since 2005, though the book notes that he had quite a few jobs before that. He is one of the most widely read conservative columnists in America. His work regularly appears on the website Townhall.com and he has also been published in the Huffington Post, Washington Examiner, The Hill, Human Events, and PJ Media, among many other outlets. His own website, Rightwingnews.com, is one of the biggest conservative websites on the Internet, and his new website DefiantMasculinity.com covers issues relating to masculinity and men’s rights. Now, hearing this, you may think that this book is going to be very political. It’s not, and we actually touch on that.

In this episode, I’m thrilled and honored to be interviewing Erick Erickson, conservative blogger, radio talk show host, and author of the book “You Will Be Made to Care: The war on faith, family, and your freedom to believe”. I talk with him about the book and the loss of religious liberty we’re seeing in the US, about who this affects, what the underlying cause is, and where the solution starts.

Questions include:

  • Does this just affect people on the Right? Don’t most people believe in religious liberty?
  • What is the core problem that is causing this erosion of religious liberty? Is it primarily a political issue, or not?
  • Would Jesus bake a cake for a same-sex wedding? Shouldn’t Christians?
  • If the courts can take away our freedom with just 5 votes, how do we reclaim control of our freedom?
