“Uplanned” opening eyes

The movie “Unplanned” is doing quite well across the country, given its limited release. It is bringing the truth of the abortion industry to everyone, including many Planned Parenthood employees. It’s truly eye-opening and I recommend this exposé to anyone interested in the truth about abortion.

This episode I’ve got a new segment, “Letters from Auntie M”. It’s being voiced by a friend of mine from the Shire Network News days, the pseudonymous “Tom Paine”. For this segment, Auntie M talks about anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party.

The crisis on the border is real

Colleges and universities are supposedly where free speech and association are encouraged. Well, I have an example of where the students were all for those until they realized that it meant freedom for everyone, and there were some groups for whom they simply couldn’t allow that.

The Border Patrol has its hands full, literally. The detention centers and courts that process illegal immigrants are not able to handle the surge of people coming across the border. But hey, it’s not like it’s a crisis or anything.

And, oh yes, kittens.

Enjoying Democrat privilege

Listener Mark has a better suggestion than the REINS Act for reducing the tentacles of the bureaucratic state; scrap it.

Have you noticed a difference in how Democrats and the media treat similar scandals regarding the two parties? I have, and here’s the latest example.

Baby Thomas was born recently to a father who finds amazing healing from him and a reason to live. Listen in to understand why.

Lit up to celebrate death

I’m just covering 1 topic this time out. New York state recently passed a new abortion law that allows for late-term abortion throughout the third trimester.

I posted this disapprovingly on the Facebook group, and listener Steve wanted me to prove my contention that this is essentially abortion for any reason at any time. This, then, is my reasoning. Look at history and the law, and you can’t really say otherwise.

Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy

With the retirement of Supreme court Justice Anthony Kennedy, the Left in this country has been very downcast, and understandably so. But today I want to talk about 2 reasons why this should never have been the case. There really shouldn’t be any reason to fear the retirement of a Justice of a different political persuasion if the checks and balances in this country’s government are allowed to work properly.

They haven’t been allowed to for decades, especially with regards to the Supreme Court. I’m going to highlight 2 of these, but both can be summed up in this one statement; the power you grab will be used against you.

The sky isn’t falling, you’re just laying an egg

When Sarah Huckabee-Sanders was kicked out of the Red Hen restaurant, that act plus the reactions to it from the Left demonstrated their inconsistent principles. And no, this is not similar to the Masterpiece Cakeshop situation. I’ll explain.

An internal memo from the ACLU shows that defending the constitutional right to free speech will be subject to what they think of the speech. That’s their prerogative, but it may be time for a name change.

And the Supreme Court ruled against coerced speech, saying that the state of California doesn’t have the right to force crisis pregnancy centers to advertise free abortion services elsewhere. If this is a harbinger of things to come, Jack Phillips must be smiling.

The March For Life 2018

The March For Life in 2018 was a major event, not the least because it was the first time a sitting US President addressed the crowd via live video. You’d never guess that by the media coverage.

Nor would those participants be invited to the (alleged) Women’s March the next day. That march is less about women and more about politics.

And Matt Walsh lines up the excuses for keeping abortion legal with keeping slavery legal. They line up very closely.

It’s episode 200!

It’s here; episode 200! And what an extravaganza it is.

I have an interview with D. J. McGuire. He’s a co-host of The More Perfect Union podcast, one of my favorites. I wanted to speak with D. J. because he has moved from being a conservative Republican to a conservative Democrat. Contradiction in terms, you say? It didn’t used to be. When I moved to Georgia, Sam Nunn was one such animal. In today’s political climate, however, it’s certainly an endangered specie. I talked with him about his conservative bona fides, why he switched, whether his views have changed, and what would cause him to switch back. It’s a fascinating discussion.

And I have feedback from 5 listeners, including a voice mail. (See, it really does work!) I’ll be answering their questions as part of this episode.

So thanks for joining me for the longest episode ever (over 56 minutes!) of one of the shortest political podcasts out there. I hope it gets you to consider this.

Next stop, the Senate

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is supported by 74% of Americans, and 77% of women. Then why did it pass on a party-line vote in the House of Representatives, and why does it face a filibuster in the Senate?

Because, if it could save just one life (or, in this case, 10,000), who could be against it? The answer, of course, isn’t moral or ethical; it’s political.

The Nazis are restless.

I’ve got 3 topics to discuss this week, one of which was suggested by a listener. (Yes, you can influence the topics covered!)

The violent extremes on both sides need to be condemned. But one side is more consistently doing that.

There’s a country out there taking the lead in the eradication of Downs Syndrome. It sounds like a medical breakthrough! But dig a little deeper, and it’s not that what you think it is.

A study came out regarding the transgendered in the military. The problem was, it studied the effects of a policy that no one is proposing. Well, at least they’re wasting their own money.
